Team HGV gets a boost

After a long and hot summer of exits, the HardGamma Ventures team is now growing, with a number of new individuals coming on board to help streamline the company’s activities.

Adam Jerusalimcew joins HardGamma Ventures as a Portfolio Manager after heading up Beta Scuderia, a classic car storage and management company based in Warsaw and part of HardGamma’s portfolio. A graduate of the Leon Kozminski University, he is a lawyer with specialisation in capital markets.

Piotr (Peter) Tuszyński comes to HardGamma Ventures as an Entrepreneur in Residence and Acceleration Manager. Earlier, Peter headed up Appvetica, a mobile app lab providing B2B digital services, which was funded by HardGamma. He can also code in his sleep and is a total hackathon pro.

John Beauchamp joined HardGamma Ventures at the end of September as a Communications Manager and Entrepreneur in Residence. He is a broadcast journalist and an alum of Polskie Radio in Warsaw. John is currently working on a news startup – – a video platform on the startup ecosystems in the CEE region

Hardgamma Ventures (along other investors) exits Hassle to Helpling

Berlin-based Rocket Internet-backed Helpling has acquired the UK’s for 32 million Euros, consolidating European on-demand marketplace for local cleaners space. Hassle was backed by Accel Partners, Hardgamma Ventures, Hotspur Capital Partners, Nesta, Playfair Capital, Ventech Capital and angel investors.


Hardgamma Ventures exits to Burda International

SHOWROOM.PL is a leading independent fashion e-commerce platform in Poland. Burda International, media house present in 19 countries, publisher of Elle, Glamour and Instyle magazines has been investing in the new technologies and digital products for years. Burda has acquired 52% stake in SHOWROOM.PL, buying out Polish VC fund Hardgamma Ventures and investing in the new round of financing, which will be used for further strengthening of Showroom’s position in Poland and for its international expansion.

HardGamma part of the PayPal Blueprint startup program

As of August 2014 HardGamma Ventures became a partner of PayPal in the PayPal Blueprint program. This gives every startup from our portfolio a free transaction volume up to $1.5 million USD with PayPal (~$50,000 USD of PayPal fees waived for 18 months) and a free transaction volume up to $100,000 USD with Braintree (Braintree fees waived for 18 months). On top of that, startups also receive an ongoing mentorship with thought leaders and PayPal Developer Relations teams plus top-notch dedicated customer service.

Hardgamma Ventures is the only partner of PayPal Blueprint in Poland. Other partners worldwide include 500 Startups, Seedcamp, Techstars and a few other respected accelerators and funds.
