What is GammaRebels?
GammaRebels is a startup accelerator program for technology entrepreneurs. We have held two editions – in 2011 and 2012/2013, which involved intensive 3-month long programs held in Warsaw, Poland. We also run a number of pre-acceleration programs, please check the latest programs on the right and feel free to apply!
How do I sign up for future editions?
GammaRebels accepts applications for its acceleration program on an ongoing basis. If you have a more mature startup which you are ready to take to the next level, then you are more than welcome to submit your proposal along with an investor deck (please use Pitching Hacks structure).
GammaRebels gives you a head start
Once in the core GammaRebels acceleration program, all startups can take advantage of a number of perks to get going. These include Amazon AWS credits, Google and Microsoft cloud services, as well as access to PayPal’s Blueprint program.
GammaRebels stands out from the crowd in terms of support: all startups can count on an international team of top-notch mentors and coaches who are on hand to give advice, mentoring, as well as access to HardGamma’s global contact network.

GammaRebels, an initiative by hardGAMMA Ventures, served as a startup accelerator program catering to aspiring technology entrepreneurs. Biography: Chris Kowalczyk is a multi-faceted professional with a diverse background in entrepreneurship, strategy consulting, and early-stage investment. He is the co-founder of several successful startups, including Macoscope.net, Codility.com (winner of Seedcamp’09), ORIAQ.com, and Cuberoot.pl. Chris is actively involved in the startup ecosystem as a mentor at Seedcamp (MiniSC WAW’09, SCW’09, MiniSC Prague’10), Springboard, Startup BootCamp, and referrer with HackFwd.com.
Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Chris gained valuable experience working for renowned companies such as Procter & Gamble, Lycos Europe/Lycos Poland, and McKinsey & Company. He also served as a lecturer on Management Information Systems (MIS) for the Warsaw Executive MBA Program, affiliated with the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
In 2007, Chris co-founded Aula Polska, a prominent barcamp-style meetup that fostered the growth of the Polish startup scene. He is an esteemed member of Mensa Poland and a founding member of The Internet Society (ISOC) Poland, reflecting his dedication to intellectual and technological advancements. With his extensive expertise and passion for innovation, Chris continues to make significant contributions to the entrepreneurial community.
Piotr Sienkiewicz is a notable entrepreneur and co-founder of MSP, which stands as the pioneering commercial software distributor in Poland. Under Piotr’s leadership, MSP expanded its product portfolio to include hardware, experiencing organic growth over the years. Subsequently, MSP merged with a Czech distributor and later acquired a Hungarian enterprise, further solidifying its market presence. Demonstrating his astute business acumen, Piotr successfully orchestrated the sale of MSP to a major multinational corporation.
Piotr’s entrepreneurial endeavors extend beyond MSP. He also played a pivotal role in co-founding Polska OnLine, the first internet service provider and internet application developer in Poland. Through his strategic efforts, Piotr secured venture capital funding for the company, subsequently acquiring a software house and eventually achieving a successful sale to a global telecommunications company, TeleDanmark.
Currently, Piotr serves as a partner at hardGAMMA Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund. He actively participates in organizing PitchRally, a series of exclusive meetings designed for startups and investors. Piotr’s notable achievements and his continued involvement in the startup ecosystem showcase his unwavering commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurial growth.
